Nicola Mirc est Maître de conférences en sciences de gestion, spécialité stratégie, à Toulouse School of Management (TSM) et docteur de l'École polytechnique. Elle est chercheuse à TSM Research et responsable de l'axe stratégie. Ses recherches portent sur les transformations organisationnelles, en particulier dans le cadre de fusions-acquisitions.

Elle étudie notamment la transformation des réseaux organisationnels et l’émergence de relations coopératives (collaborations opérationnelles, transfert de connaissances et de compétences, etc.) entre les unités rapprochées.
